The technological basics of ZELIX as dynamic crossflow membrane system have been consistently developed for maximum dynamic effect - with reduced mechanical stress and energy consumption at the same time. The crossflow function depends on the turbulence of flow: the viscosity, the velocity of liquids and geometry of space.
The focus of Pantreon on geometry, on calculation and design of flow spaces improves the dynamic effect of velocity and reduces mechanical stress and energy consumption.
ZELIX’ filter modules consist of trapezoid shaped filter discs and are mounted on rotating ring(s).
This provides high shear forces, intensive and persistent turbulence on the entire membrane surface.
ZELIX has been developed by using 3 flow directions:
Rotational flow (red)
Radial flow outwards (blue)
Radial flow inwards (green)
ZELIX has been developed by using CFD-models (right) and achieves extremely dynamic flow on the entire surface through:

NEW FLOW TECHNOLOGY
NEW ROTATION TECHNOLOGY
NEW HELIX4D FLOW TECHNOLOGY
ZELIX FILTER
TECHNOLOGY
increases the filter area by 40 % through trapezoid disc design and increased number of discs
increases the performance of membranes
has optimized hydrodynamic design
reduces the mechanical stress
reduces the energy consumption
ZELIX FLOW
TECHNOLOGY
increases the dynamics of turbulent flow on the membranes
directs + focuses the turbulent flow to the filter modules and reduces dynamic loss off the membranes
reduces the energy consumption and the mechanical stress on substances
ZELIX ROTATION TECHNOLOGY
By segmentation of the filter area into smaller modules the rotation speeds and rotation directions can be adapted over the rotor radii in ZELIX membrane system.
The principle of dynamic balance makes possible uniform flow conditions over the entire filter surface.
HELIX4D FLOW
TECHNOLOGY
The selected INCLINATION of filter discs in adjacent filter modules, fixed on rotating ring(s), results in turbulent flow with strong VERTICAL direction - over the complete membrane surfaces even in installations with large filter area.
HELIX4D leads to extensive exchange of concentrations, even in high viscous fluids and substance content.
